ChatGPT Extractor (chatgptext.com) is a free online tool that extracts text from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Meta AI, and Perplexity share links. This page explains how we handle data when you use our service.

We do not collect, store, or share the content of your conversations. When you paste a share link, that URL is used only to load and extract the conversation. The extracted text is sent directly to your browser and is never saved on our servers.

When you use the extractor, our service loads the corresponding share page from the source platform (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, or Perplexity). Please refer to that platform's own privacy policy for how they handle data on their end. We do not control what data these platforms collect when their pages are accessed.
Data Retention
We retain zero conversation content. No extracted text, share links, or conversation data is saved to any database or file storage. Once the result is displayed in your browser, our server has no record of it. Analytics and advertising cookies are retained according to Google's own retention policies, linked above.
Your Choices
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, use browser extensions that block tracking, adjust your choice via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, or opt out of personalized ads via the Google links above. Doing so will not affect your ability to use the extractor tool itself.
Feedback Submissions
When you submit feedback through the on-site feedback form, we collect the content of your message, your email address (if provided), and auto-captured technical context including your current page URL, browser type, operating system, and referrer. This data is stored on our server and used solely to respond to your message and improve the site. Feedback submissions are rate-limited to prevent spam. We do not share feedback data with third parties.
