Why doesn't Grok have an official export feature?

What happens to my Grok history if my X account gets suspended or locked?
You lose normal access to it through the X/Grok interface. There's currently no way to recover Grok conversation history independently of X account access — which is exactly the scenario where having already extracted anything important pays off.
Does extraction capture Grok's live search results and citations?
Yes — the text of Grok's response, including any summary or citation drawn from real-time X data, extracts normally. What doesn't carry over is the data continuing to update; you get a snapshot as of extraction time, not a live feed.
Do I need an X (Twitter) account to use this tool?
No — you don't need to be logged into X to extract a conversation. You do need the conversation's public share link, which only the original account holder can generate.
